I am so excited to share this wedding with everyone! Renata & Sergio were my first EVER consult for a wedding and when we first met we hit it off right away. I will admit I was a little nervous meeting with them because well it was my first time doing so with a potential client and I was just so excited and anxious. I have been very blessed to have some really awesome couples this year who have put their trust in me to capture their big day and it was no different with Renata & Sergio. They knew I was just starting out and after giving me a test run on their engagement session they were happy and booked, wuhoo! I have kept in contact with Renata throughout her planning process and she is just such a great person, so funny and we share the same type of sarcasm so we really clicked and she felt more like a friend then just a client which is what I love! I had a hard time narrowing down the images to blog so instead I am going to do this in two parts. The ceremony was held at the beautiful Rutgers Chapel and reception took place at Rutgers Gardens, another favorite location of mine. The design was beautiful and all the little details were all DIY by Renata who is SUPER crafty, check out her blog here! She made all her own invites, stationary for the day and put together a lot of the design elements herself, oh yes I am sure Sergio helped as well 😉 .
Renata & Sergio, I hope you both had a beautiful time on your honeymoon! I am wishing you both all the best in this new journey together and always keeps each other smiling! Thank you again for putting your trust in this newbie 😉 it really means a lot to me! I will admit I am a little sad that your big day has already passed and will miss you both very much, but please keep in touch!
These gloves were the ones Renata’s mom wore on her wedding day! How sweet…. hehe looove her expression here! She was getting excited!
In the meantime Angie my second shooter for the day was with Sergio and his family. Thanks so much to Angie for shooting with me that day, she did an awesome job!
For the ceremony I gave up control of my 70-200mm lens to Angie. I wanted to shoot wide and get more detail of the chapel since it was so grand! One of my goals for the next few weddings is going to be to step away and look at the bigger picture. I think the below image really captured that. I will admit though I REALLY missed using the 70-200 lol.
Wuhoo the newlyweds!!
